Use the Official NBS Classification, 2009–2010 Awards Edition to prepare trays for these awards.
Presentation Awards:
Prizes given at awards breakfast.
1. President’s Award: Div. IX, Cl. 20- 13, 20 Any Size – Men specialized to those with mustaches. (May have beards too, but must have mustaches). Annie Frazier. $25-10-5.
2. Editor’s Award: Div. I, Cl. 16- 8, Med/Lrg –Materials summary specialized to mounted in/on metal, no pictorials. Enamels and metals must be mounted in/on a mounting distinct from the mounted material. Examples: an enamel plaquette mounted in a steel cup (for enamel) and a brass cup with a pewter center (for pewter). Additional OME allowed. Assortment classes 6- 0, 7- 0, 20- 0 and summary Secs. 16, 21, and 26 require labeling all buttons according to class and mounting in numerical order. The buttons of Div. II should be labeled whenever the name of the issuing organization is not shown in the button design, even if the logo or insignia is commonly recognized. See. A balanced assortment of materials is assumed unless an award specifies materials by class or description. See pages 8–9 of the Official NBS Classification for further clarification about assorted materials.

112. Cl. 1- 0 + 12- 8, 25 Any Size – Celluloid and synthetic polymers imitating other materials. In addition to other materials, this includes imitations of celluloid and synthetic polymers. (Example: You could use a celluloid button imitating acrylic; casein imitating Bakelite; Bakelite imitating celluloid; celluloid and/or synthetic polymers imitating any material.) Label the material the button is imitating. Try for 25 imitations. We ARE NOT looking for 25 different materials. Points to be given for different construction of the same material (i.e. imitation glass paperweight and imitation glass radiant would count separately), different techniques, etc., as well as materials.
