of an R & C Company sample card frorn BJ's collection. At least nine of the
buttons depicted on this wonderfully complete care are chinas not listed in the
guidelines. Joy LeCount also shared her card of unlisted china buttons, which
originally surfaced at a flea market in Michigan in the early 1980's. Individual
collectors continued to come forward with previously unrecorded china buttons
and prime examples of rarer types of known chinas.
The event was fortunate to hal'e the r,'olunteer services of Colorado resi-
dent LeRoy Manley, who, assisted by his u,ife Joan and their Texan daughter-
in-law Lana Powell, photographed the buttons that participants had brought to
share. It is hoped that these photos u'ill mark the beginning of an effort to doc-
      ument currentlrr unlisted china buttons.
