While in Prague I visited the National Museum. This museum houses but-
tons as old as 3000 years BC. The museum displayed the buttons grouped by
millennium. Practically each millennium had some buttons on display. The ear-
liest were made of antler and bone with two holes drilled through them. I
atternpted to take pictures of some of the older buttons. Some of the photos
turned out okay and others not as well. I had to take the photos through the
glass display window rnaking it hard to get clear photos.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that their dues are
now past due. There has been a change in the amount as well as in the way you
pay them. If you have not paid your 2002 dues yolr need to send your check to
      Lois Pool for $25.00.
To encourage you to pay your dues in a timely manner the Board decided
THAT IF YOIJ PAY YOUR DIJES BTFORE DECEMBER 1, YOIJ WILL
RECEIVE A $5.00 REDUCTION III YOUR DUES. This applies to renewals
only, new memberships will be $25.00.
In closing I would like to say that the people in both the Czech Republic
and England were very concerned for our country and for the many lives that
were lost on September I 1. It was unnerving to be away from home during
such a difficult time, but it helps when strangers are concerned about you as an
individual and your country as a whole.
May all people have a Blessed and Peaceful Holiday.
                                           As ever,
                                           c${ary
