ASIAN INSPIRED

In celebration of National Button Week, the third week of March, the But-
ton University team will be bringing NBS members an online weekend of
button programs from March 21 through 23 , 2025.

With our theme of Asian Inspired, we have lined up some terrific programs
on a variety of buttons from Asian countries . In addition, we will have a
program to show all attendees the wonderful studio buttons created for
the Studio Artist Celebration this year .
Our speakers include Susannah Jordan on Motiwala Buttons, Nancy Bank
Allen on Satsuma Buttons, Weiling Yin on China Trade Buttons, and Mika
Jarmusz on Bethlehem Pearl Buttons .
In addition, Barbara Weeks will talk about the art of writing awards well,
Yessy Byl will be there to answer Classification questions, and the Button U
team will create a fun group program on modern Asian buttons .
