trol, the records will not be published this year, space had been attotted in this

CALENDAB OF EVENTS
Maroh 8, 9 Flmiila. The State Button Show will be held at the Angebilt llotel
in Orla,ndo. All button collectors visiting in the State are invited to
attend. Judges are also needed.
Aprit 9 Maine, Ttre State Society will meet in pittsfield, wittr Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin Collamore as host and hostess.
April 22, 23 New York. The State Society will meet in Albany. AII collectors
are invited to attend.
April82.,23 Pennsylvania. The State Society will meet at Carlisle, at the Molly
Pitcher Hotel.
April 22-24 Kansas. The State Society will have its Meeting and Show in the
Union National Bank Building in Wichita.
April 29, 30 Missouri. The State Society will hold its spring Meeting and Show
&Mayl at Hotel Bothwell. Sedalia.
May 14 New Jersey. The State Society will meet in Stanton Grange near
Flemington. All collectors are invited. Usual roast beef -dinner
so make reservations.
STATE SOCIETIES FLEASE NOTE
we have trad several inquiries in rega,rd to the National holidays as suggested
in the awarding of the trlorence Aberle challenge Bowl for 1960 (see November
Bulletin, pr 269). On contacting our Special Awards Chairman, Mrs. Bess Tery,
she sent the following reply-
"Regarding National holidays, I calted the post Office, and was told that the
National Government observes the.se eight:
New Year's Day-January lst
Washington's Birthday-February 22nd
Memorial Day-May 30th
Independence Day-July 4th
Labor Day-Firsi Monday in September
Veterans Day-November l1th
Thanksgiving Day-Fourth T'hursday in November
Christmas--December 2bth
