Q: If you can assign a division to livery buttons, why can’t
you use a uniform button on a Division I tray?
A: Remember that uniform buttons are in a separate division altogether: Divi-
sion II. In the past, uniform buttons were not allowed on competition trays of
other divisions at all; they were only allowed
on uniform competition trays. That changed
a few years ago to allow the use of uniform
buttons to be used ONLY on Division IX
trays (see pages 3 and 5 of the Blue Book).
