SUGGESTIONS INCI,UDED WITH DESIGNS
1. Charm string should be in color.
2. Design would be attractive with red background, grey or brown eagle,
white button and stars, blue lettering or white background, grey or
brown eagle, silver stars, red button and blue lettering.
3. Red and white stripes alternating, stars white, map gold color, blue
band through map v'ith silver letters in name.
8. Would show up well to have a button of white celluloid with design
of blue. tr'or the 48 states, the border consists of 48 four hole buttons.
The drawing is too small for me to put in the four holes.
10. Suggested by hand colored specimen also enclosed; Center and outer
band gold, with monogram and buttons in relief. A blue enamel band
between with relief lettering, "The National Button Society."
12. Suggestion. Uniforrn button style-brass, modern 1-piece (for endur-
ance) die-stamped. Gilt, 24rnm, low convex. Wire loop shank, brazed
on. Face design in high extlusion on plain field with rounded edge
and no border. Feature device to show authentic button mold, wiih
plains raised and depressed as dictated by actual construction of object.
Main inscription in raised characters on ribbon having stippled back-
ground and thin raised outline. Secondary inscription in raised letters
on the plain field.
