For reasons beyond my control I was unable to attend many State meetings
as I would have liked to. flowever, in March of ttris year I had ttre pleasure of
visiting the Florida state Button society show in Miami. rt was a.n excellent

EEPOBT OF CEAIR,MAN OF BOARD Or. DIR,ECTORS
This has been a year in which the ofiicers and committee heads of Nationel
Button Society have functioned so well, both individually and as a team, that
it has left little for your chairman of the Board of Directors to be concerned with.
Ttre unfortunate loss of our Editor during the year has created a void that
seemed not possible to fill, but, the Editorial Staff, the publications Committee,
and others have done their work so well that our high standard has been satis-
factorily maintained. Credit must be given where it is due.
Circumstances beyond my control ars making it impossible for us to be
present at our 1965 Annual Meeting in Concord, but we are .expecting to be with
you in the 1966 meeting in the Continental Hotel in Kansas City. We heve met
in the Continental Hotel a,t least, twice before, and ttre meetings tra,vo always re-
presented a high spot in the years work. Do plan to be with us--October B to 9,
      1966 !
                                          Respectfully submitted,
