New Jersey, Mrs. P. A. Chamberlin of Pennsylvania, I\[rs. Mina S. Dawson of
Michigan and Mr. Achilles H. I(ohn, New York.
Beginning with attendance at ttre Aurual Meeting a,nd the tnro Directors'
Meetings in October 1964 and recording the Minutes thereof, the secretary's duties
during the year were many and varied. 1,369 NATIONAL BTJTTON BIILLETINS
were mailed to members whose dues were received after the printer's mailing dead-
lines. Many letters were written, including replies to inquiries resulting from an
article appea, ring in a Labor magazine. Ttre July Directory, including both the
State and Club listings a.s well as the Membership Roster were prepared and the
Rcster galley proofread. In February, 289 reminders were mailed to t€Jdy mem-

as possible. Grateful appreciation is extended to the President, Mrs. Grace Toal-

                       REPOR,T OF PUBLICATION CHAIBMAN
With the sudden passing away of our rnost capa, ble and beloved Editor, Mrs.
rllian Alberi, the National Buiton Society was confronted with a multitude of
problems--more ttran anybody realized. Ttte January Bulletin was partly ready for
ttre printer, and Dewy Albert completed it. But-what about tt!€ issues to follow?
That was a nightmare for Grace Toalson and her helpers (and not too many
helpers at that). But the issues came through and will keep on coming. The or-
ganization w&s real forLunate in having a Pr€sident that had experience in publi-
       cation.
With the ever increasing cost of printing and mailing-can we afford to keep
on at the present rate of $3.50 for a membership fee? Let's give it careful consid-
       eration.
                                               JAMES R,. BOWM.
